Dear Member

 

A gentle reminder that we are running Tidy Up Taplow on the 3rd April. (See
attached poster). Please come and help keep Taplow as we want it to be and
have a chat and a cup of tea.

 

The pioneer work by the Taplow Neighbourhood Plan Working Party on Local
Heritage Asset Listing status for the Hermitage and Coach House has reached
the final stage for Cabinet approval to become one of the first such Assets
in South Bucks to be approved, of which we intend to add to in due course.

 

We have decided to use the money donated by Mammoth Films to buy a gazebo to
support the Society desk at the Village Green Party. We have been very lucky
with the weather for some years but wind or a shower can make things very
difficult without some protection.

 

We have submitted a response to the consultation on Boundary changes within
Buckinghamshire - attached. If you wish to make your own response the link

Lastly, in the context of the terrible situation in Ukraine, please see the
mail below from Nicki. I know that many of us have already responded in
various ways.

 

Dear Taplow Friends

 

As we wait for the government to announce the detail of the humanitarian
community sponsorship scheme to allow Ukrainian families to come to the UK,
I have registered (myself but potentially our community) with an
organisation that are involved in working to accelerate and coordinate this
potential.

Is Taplow such a community? Are you interested in being part of a 'movement'
/ group of individuals, organisations,  business', Faith communities,
School,  council etc. to at least explore the potential? We could achieve a
lot together.

and do pass on to others, including your local contacts with organisations
and businesses. 

 

I will be in touch once the details of the scheme become available and
hopefully we can set up an initial meeting to think about the potential.
