Just a pseudo user job example:
HandbrakeCLI -Z PS3 -i "/var/lib/mythtv/recordings/%FILE%" -o
"/var/lib/mythtv/videos/%TITLE%_%STARTTIME%.mp4"

Calling a well written shell script would be the best bet.
