I used to use a 350W Hyena or some other cheap brand. But I've now switched
to a 430W Seasonic. They're definitely not cheap, but it is quiet. I think
the CPU fan is generating most of the noise now. I did consider a fanless
supply but they're even more expensive and I worry about airflow and heat.

For your case and a good enough PSU you

Yes. I don't think it's the way I'd go if I wanted to put together a
finished box in one go. But for me it's wasn't too bad as I was able to
space purchases out, a few hundred dollars at a time.
