I've just run into how good storage groups are!!

I wanted to retire a disk and replace it with a larger one but since I
wanted to test the new disk/controller combination first, I set it up on a
new mount point and added it to the default storage group along side the
existing one. Since it has more space than the existing one it is used in
preference to the old disk so my testing gets done.

Come time when I switch to it, I only have to copy the recording from the
old disk to the new, unmount the old and remove it from the storage group
- no database changes required since the new disk is already in the
default group.

I tried it last night by just copying a few files across and unmounting
the original disk they had been recorded to and it still just worked!!

Well impressed :-)
