I was going to forward this notice myself but Martin puts it very clearly.

Subject: Appeal rights against planning decisions

Dear residents,

Do you agree that the right of appeal on planning decisions should not be taken away from local people? - if so please sign the petition;-

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/110489

I hope that you will help support this petition – its really important as we have no rights to appeal any planning application approved by the council, whereas, if a council refuses a planning application, the applicant is allowed to appeal to the Planning Inspectorate. This is wrong and our parish council should have the right to appeal planning applications – particularly now with the pro-development planning policy that is changing all the time, in the favour of the developers.
The attached poster and leaflet give more information.

Time is running out, there is only until the 16th April to get 10,000 votes!

Regards,
Martin
Ellington & District Residents Association
