Dear Sir/Madam,

I would very much like to draw your attention to a concert taking place later this month, and would be most grateful if you could forward details of the event to your members.

The superb Phantasy Trio, featuring local clarinetist Rosemary Taylor, viola player Peter Mallinson from the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and the fabulous pianist Gregory Drott, will be performing an afternoon concert accompanied with afternoon tea at St Nicolas Taplow on Sunday 25th May 2014 at 4pm. The programme entitled Invitation to a Salon Concert explores the wonderful and once ever popular, now all but forgotten setting of an intimate and personable Salon Concert and the repertoire and stories that has to tell.

An exploration of the repertoire of this unusual combination of instruments, encompassing hugely popular arrangements as well as original works conceived for this line up that was so popular in 18th and 19th century Salon Concerts, and now all but forgotten.


The Phantasy Trio recently completed their postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music, and now also lead busy professional performing careers as soloists, recitalists and orchestral principals. They continue to enjoy exploring the repertoire for this exquisite and interesting combination in which the sound-worlds of each instrument work together so beautifully.

Tickets £15 (Concessions £10) including afternoon tea
All proceeds from the concert will go to support the charitable work of St Nicolas Taplow
