Hi all - I'm trying to help a coworker to get into myth, and its not going
well.
The box is a core2duo with 2 GB ram, running 64 bit Fedora 17 fully updated.
Kernel is 3.4.4-3.fc17.x86_64
There's one DVB-S card, a plain old Skystar2 on the PCI bus.

Now the /dev directory is missing some devices compared to my own skystar2

Using something like this:
dvbtune -f 1183000 -s 22500 -p h -m & ; scandvb -c -U
dvbstream -f 1183 -s 22500 -p h -o 512 650 | mplayer -
we can see the video stream.
This is what mythtvsetup shows when setting up the card.

Any suggestions as to the fault or the fix ?
