If you want to get off the upgrade cycle try LinHES. I installed 6.01
(with myth-0.21) on a virtual machine a few days ago. I simply changed
the repos and updated, and got a system with 0.23. It is based on Arch
and has a rolling release cycle.
Formerly the same developer released knoppmyth, based on knoppix,
based on debian. Knoppmyth was great, LinHES appears to be better!
