[mythtvnz] WinTV Nova-S Plus Remote...

Hi All,

I'm having a bit of trouble with the remote for my Hauppauge WinTV
Nova-S Plus. I basically don't seem to be able to receive anything.

The IR reciever is set up and the card is detected and working in Myth,
it's just the remote I'm having problems with. I've tried looking at the
setups at: http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Hauppauge_WinTV_Nova-S_Plus_PCI
and http://parker1.co.uk/mythtv_ubuntu2.php But I think the problem
might be more basic.

Which shows that the remote should be on /dev/input/event4, so I ran: 

$ sudo /usr/sbin/lircd -H dev/input -d /dev/input/event4 -n

and (in a separate terminal):

$ irw

but when pressing buttons, I don't get any output!

Is anyone else using this remote on Mythbuntu 9.10, if so is there anything
I've missed?
