[mythtvnz] DVB-S initial setup problems

Hi all - I've got myself the hardware for DVB-S and everything seems to 
be working so far...  I've got the dish aimed and working, and mplayer 
can play back a stream from dvbtune.  scan -c   returns reasonable 
looking results too.


However mythtv-setup will not allow me to scan for channels under 
4)Input Connections.

Scanning for channels only allows the choice of
27,500,000
28,000,000
28,500,000
29,900,000
  3,333,000
22,000,000 as symbol rate, and everything says that
freeview is 22,500,000



22M puts up a blue box saying "Scan Progress" in the top but no other 
info... it looks incompletely drawn, and the log shows:

Then it sits for ages.



27.5M, 29.9M, 3.33M  all return this error when scanning......

Running it inside strace doesn't reveal anything useful.


I even tried pointing the DVB card at the Free-To-Air video source, but 
its not happy with that either.


I have upgraded to the lates 0.21-fixes and am running kernel 2.6.30.5
The card is a Skystar PCI.

Machine is a E2140 with 1GB ram and two PVR-150 PCI tuners too.


So I went into 5)Channel Editor and manually created two transports. 
Then twiddled the SQL to set the symbol rate to 22500000.  However when 
I do a "full scan of existing transports" I get this:

Any suggestions?  Could someone please show a dump of their 
dtv_multiplex table?
