[mythtvnz] X works, but Myth does not.

In the config you supplied, the ServerLayout is using:
"aticonfig-Screen[0]-0"

This screen uses:
"aticonfig-Monitor[0]-0"

which has:
Option	    "DPMS" "true

i.e. it isn't using the monitor modelines you maybe think it is using.

What happens when you change:
Screen      0  "aticonfig-Screen[0]-0" 0 0
to:
Screen      0  "Screen0" 0 0

Can you generate another log file after making the change and post that?
