Our minimum for myPVR is 250Gb, 5Gb OS, 1Gb swap, rest for video.

Most customers have gone for 400Gb with some taking a pair of 500Gb disks.

Record to date for a customer is about the 2Tb mark in a combination of
internal + external disks.
