[mythtvnz] Composite video recording (was Lurker in the midst.....)

I'm assuming the mythtv method will also give me the audio dubbed into
the mpeg file, whereas the cat /dev/video0 method will require me to
record the audio separately and then mash them together somehow.
I'd searched for the page you linked me to and hadn't found it so thanks
heaps. I was only missing the step of creating a non existent channel, I
knew in my head but seeing it described clearly helped heaps.

Another question related: those recording sky through composite video in
may know, can I record from the composite in input at the same time as
the card is recording tv from the receiver? ie do I effectively have two
input devices?
I guess the talk of ir blasters means there is some code to control the
sky box and change channels, I could use my VCR through the composite
video input as another device/receiver if I could use both inputs at
once.
