I think he had an older model, like a DSO 126.

2 versions newer is DSO150, and it goes for around US$20 shipped.

Elektor had an article on them somewhere. They aren't all perfect and
want some circuit mods. The DSO wants an 78L05-stabilised ADC ref input
(currently just a supply voltage resistor divider...). The same article
said the DSO150 was overall better than the DSO138. Supposedly they're
supplied with schematic.
