For the benefit of members who couldn't get to tonights meeting, we talked
about websites, forums, email reflectors and wikis.

We decided that we didn't know what the membership wanted so I'll start
the ball rolling with a few ideas which within a short while we can build
into a list of what we *might* want.

We then vote this list (awarding points from 0 to 10 for each item) and
hence come up with what the membership *actually* wants. This means that
the initial list may have some outliers - thats fine, they'll get weeded
out in the voting :)

Next step is to see what fits to implement these requirements followed by
a search for where such things can be hosted (assuming hosting is
required!!)

So far the list we briefly discussed:
1. email reflector - currently implemented.
2. forum - love them or hate them they may have a place.
3. static web site - who and where we are
4. gallery - for pictures etc
5. wiki - something all the members can edit

My thoughts on some of these:
1. a (better) search capability would be nice perhaps using a private
google group or bridging emails into a forum
2. something like SMF as used by http://www.fieldlines.com/index.php which
allows a gallery, polls, rss feed, new posts since last visited (I use
that a lot!!)
3. suffers bit rot
4. best integrated with the forum
5. likely best integrated with the forum by using an FAQ or Intro sections
and sticky topics

Let ideas roll...
