I have an old HVR2200 that is still working fine in my main myth box and this new one I got is a newer revision one that required a slightly different firmware setup in linux. Also got a HVR4400 at the same auction which I thought wasn't going to be fully usable in linux except for DVB-S2 support. But patching the kernel with the latest linux media seems to support it mostly now and it supports DVB-T and DVB-S/S2 but no Analog, FM or IR receiver support. Haven't tested yet to see if they are independent and can be used for DVB-T and DVB-S at the same time yet though. Another interesting thing about this 4400 card is it is identical to the HVR5500 card in hardware and there is a custom patch you could apply to support DVB-C which is the only difference in these cards. No DVB-C In NZ that I'm aware of though.

Thanks for the info. I have been pondering the HVR4400 as a replacement
for the dead 2200.
