Things like this are fantastic to pick off the list, I'm going to add
the buggy_sfn_workaround=1 options as I definitely have a problem with
Kordia/Prime at times - that's probably the biggest cause of the
intermittent glitches I get.

After having a read on dvb_usb force_pid_filter_usage that'll be added
too!

Something I do out of habit without really thinking about now is that I
almost always cold boot my machine with the tuners in it (power off at
the wall).  This also means that the tuner firmware gets reloaded which
otherwise wouldn't happen.   Warm boots have often caused recordings to
fail for me.
