[mythtvnz] Basic question - do I need mythfrontend open in order to record?

That's great to know -thanks.

The reason I ask is that I run the FE and BE on the same machine... and 
I often want to use the machine (it's my main PC as well) for other 
tasks such as browsing the 'net.

Being able to close/quit the fullscreen interface of the frontend, 
having scheduled recordings, is marvellous.
