I use a nice 30GB SSD in my laptop and desktop, they do make quite a
major difference. Boot time is less than 10 seconds and launching apps
is very quick.

I've been tempted to get an SSD for the backend and a couple of the
frontends (which currently have slower 2.5" drives) but haven't got
around to it yet. I can see it making a difference there.
