I agree. I also will not run a scan ever again because it munted my 
channel customizations if I recall correctly. Also I have tinkered a 
fair bit with my database with sql and so long as you're careful I see 
no problems. And sometimes the myth interface just doesn't have a way to 
do things I want to do and I don't know Python so that's not an option. 
I can't really see why the myth devs get so wound up (I have seen a 
couple of posts from them) about hacking the database. So long as you 
don't expect them to fix your mistakes it's all good.
