Hi,

I can confirm it does support vdpau.

After spending the weekend trobulshooting the problem I came the
following conclusions:

1. My initial problems with quality were caused most likely by a loose
aerial connection. In the process of testing thing I have disconnected
and re-connected most of the cabling and it fixed that issue.
2. I didn't have the force_lna_activation on by default, which didn't help.
3. 8200 does support vdpau but doesn't seem to have enough grunt to
actually do Advanced x1 or Temporal x1 on 1080 or 720 (at least using
my hardware, wiki says it should work). Downgrading it to Linear (or
bob for 720) seems to fix the problem.
4. The streams play now well under mlayer (using vdpau), but
occasionally crash in myth when doing a lot of fast forwarding, which
suggests that there are still some problems in myth-player
5. Using current mercurial version of the drives for Nova-500-TD
doesn't seem to make any difference.
6. Athlon II x4 620 seems to have just enough power to pull 1080
without overclocking (my initial tests weren't accurate enough) if
absolutely nothing else is running.

kind regards
Pshem
