What does one do with the downloaded zipped file to install mythkiwi control panel in mythbuntu?  I can't find that on your site.

The nova-s card might be more sensitive to the signal if it is weak. Try forcing the values into the mysql database, you should be 
able to see what values were changed due to the scan using mysql query browser which you can install through apt.
Otherwise take a look at the code in the MythKiwi control panel and you will find which tables need to be updated.  You could try 
running it to set up your cards, that is what it is designed to do and I'd it makes a mess of things just restore it back to what it 
was from the backup it creates.
