[mythtvnz] Large mythfrontend.log files, what to do

I am having issues where LiveTV (Freeview) generates LOTS of messages in the log file and eventually completely fills up the hard drive and the frontend then locks up.  The are messages about key frames and repeat constantly.

I am trying to find a way of reducing the duplicated messages being uniquely logged, and looking at the log to database option, it apepars to offer a "message occured N times" type of logging.

Has anyone else tried logging to database?

How have others reduced their logging (it at all?)
