Ok, no I hadn't created a playback profile.  I just did and everything 
seems great!  This is really great!  I just created a basic one that 
uses VDPAU on all streams.

I'm not sure what you mean about "run mythvideo -v playback".  But I 
think I got everything working at the moment.  I just need to play 
around with the deinterlacing settings.  Great work and thanks heaps for 
all the help.
