[mythtvnz] Battling with Modelines again (and nvidia driver?)

Recently I had to re-install mythtv again and had not bothered with the
correct resolution again (40" LCD tv). So today, it was rainy anyway,
thought it was a good idea to get that sorted. I was running on 1024x728,
which is not the right aspect ratio.

I have tried several modelines for 1360x768, and even went so far of
calculating my own (no succes), but it simply does not accept the settings
(Tv displays "unsupported"). see here my tries:

Modeline "1360x768" 84.50 1360 1392 1712 1744 768 91 807 (got this from the
net somewere.. no luck)
Modeline "1360x768" 86.784 1360 1374 1470 1510 768 724 776 807 (calculated
myself).

One thing I'm not sure about too is wether I am using the nvidia proprietary
drivers. I've installed them, and are up to date, but on suse 10.2 I used
to get a nvidia splash screen, but not anymore. Is there any way to check
the version number of the current driver? or any other way to validate?

My TV does not report EDID data unfortunately. the manual says 1366x768
h-freq = 61.27 v-freq = 74.99 using D-SUB connector.

Any hints are welcome.

CHeers
Johan.
