[mythtvnz] Problems with PVR Analog and DVB-S Cards

With the arrival of Freeview I recently dusted off my MythTV hardware and
reinstalled with Mythbuntu and did an upgrade to the latest repository files
for Hardy.

I have installed a couple of Technotrend S-1401 DVB-S cards into the
machine and they work fine. I have also got my old Hauppage PVR250 and 350
cards that I was going to use for Analog reception (Prime at this stage but
maybe Sky if I could muster the enthusiasm to stump up the cash).

This is where the problems start :-) For the DVB-S cards I am using the on
air EIT as an EPG Source. I have also set up a seaparte EPG source for the
analog PVR cards using the XMLTV Python script to pull XML EPG off the web.
This all works well and the EPG data is all coming down.

The channel data all scans fine for the DVB-S and analog PVR cards as they
discover all the relevant channels, and after pruning I have the DVB-s cards
setup to the EIT EPG source for all channels bar Prime and Trackside. The
analog channels have the tuner hooked to the Python XMLTV scipts as a source
(for just Prime and Trackside). So they all appear to be receiving a signal
and acquiring the relevant EPG data and channels.

The DVB cards are both set to Priority 5 and hooked into DVB0 and DVB1
recording groups respectively. The Analog cards are set at recording
priority 0 and the Generic recording group.

The DVB-S cards record programmes fine. The problem comes about when I add
in the Analog PVR cards. If I go to watch Lifve TV I just get a blank screen
and eventually everything drops back to the menu (if I only have the DVB-S
cards configured then watching Live TV via the DVB-S cards is fine). If I
set a recording up via Mythweb then the DVB-S card records it all fine, but
the analog PVR card appears to do the recording but I get a blank ~80k file
recorded.

Given that I appear to have a signal on the analog cards (as they tune
into channels), does anybody have any suggestions as to why a) the analog
cards are screwing with the Live TV (I've tried hitting 'n' and a few other
keys to try and change Tuner, but not sure if this is mapped correctly and
hasn't done anything anyhow) and even if this was a tuner selection issue in
Live TV mode, why if still doesn't record a programme if I schedule it to?
