Well I have made progress:

Using KnoppMyth R5C7 I can get it to send out IR codes, but not the ones
I want...

A fresh installation with a PVR150 with the IR Blaster, I can receive
commands from the Hauppauge remote.

I can use "*irsend SEND_ONCE blaster 0_8_KEY_9*" and the irled blinks on
the Hauppauge external cable,
BUT if I use "*irsend SEND_ONCE DCT2000 0*" I get errors in the syslog:

Jun 14 18:57:19 mythtv lircd-0.8.0pre4-pvr150[2598]: accepted new client on /dev/lircd
Jun 14 18:57:19 mythtv lircd-0.8.0pre4-pvr150[2598]: write failed
Jun 14 18:57:19 mythtv lircd-0.8.0pre4-pvr150[2598]: Protocol error
Jun 14 18:57:19 mythtv lircd-0.8.0pre4-pvr150[2598]: error processing command: SEND_ONCE DCT2000 0
Jun 14 18:57:19 mythtv lircd-0.8.0pre4-pvr150[2598]: transmission failed
Jun 14 18:57:19 mythtv kernel: lirc_pvr150: failed to get data for code 0, key 9036 -- check lircd.conf entries
Jun 14 18:57:19 mythtv lircd-0.8.0pre4-pvr150[2598]: removed client

which is really odd as I downloaded the DCT2000 config from lirc.org and
added it to lircd.conf

I have checked that lircd has picked up the remote with *irsend list
DCT2000 ""*

I am at a bit of a loss, if I can get this last part sorted, then I am
ready to use the unit with Saturn!

Help?

Cheers Douglas.

  <pre wrap="">Hi,

I had been wondering about this for a while, so I just ordered an IRBlaster.
Hopefully it will be a synch as my wife does get upset when I tell her it
will take a couple of hours to configure something like this and then
disappear for a week :)

Thanks for the info

Nigel

For which I am grateful and might get around to implementing. It also
has the tip that sending volume up unmutes the sky box. Didn't know
that, and it always worried me how to ensure it wasn't muted.
