It's just a few days until the next LBC virtual contra!
Ali, Christina, Gareth and Linda have been working on some amazing
music tracks. Mark and Rhodri have created new dances, and we hope
to have a spot from Seth Tepfer on the other side of the Atlantic.

Salty Dog Rag:

There is still (just) time to send us a Salty Dog
Rag video. See copy of instructions at the end of this
message, and also take a look at our Virtual Dances page at
https://www.barndance.org/virtual.html - there are links to
some other versions that you might prefer. We really do need
	your video by Wednesday morning!

Important note about Zoom:

At the start of June, Zoom changed their service to improve
security and it now only works with the latest version of
the Zoom app. If you installed Zoom before our dance in May
you will probably have to update it before you can join the
next event. You need version 5.

Quiz music for the Music Quiz:

Do listen to the music on the playlist to be ready for the quiz:
	https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYAqmeICtvdf2vPOyM0ivRLeUAZaV0Wd7

Timing:

We will send out the Zoom details on Friday, and will open the
virtual doors at about 19:50 on Saturday evening. We expect the
event to run for about an hour and a half, and you are welcome to
	stick around and chat afterwards.

Alcester:

There are two virtual contras this week! Alcester have Folkus Pocus
on Friday: contact Dan Hollingshurst <dhollingshurst at hotmail.com>
or Meg <auntiemeg33 at gmail.com> if you don't already have the Zoom
	link.

Salty Dog details:

> Ali and Christina have recorded the music for us and we have put
> together a video to show how the dance goes:

>
> Give it a try, and send us a video - you can dance to the called
> version above or pick up the original music track here:

>
> Put a smartphone or camera near the loudspeaker and set it to film you
> dancing for a minute or two. Make sure that some of the music comes
> through on the video.
>
> Upload the video to this Google Album (you need a Google account):
>
> https://photos.app.goo.gl/dNm13AHLv9oPg6L59
>
> If you cannot use that, then send us the file by some other method (email
> probably won't work as videos are too big!) We will make a composite
> video with short clips from everyone and we will show it during the next
> virtual dance on 13th June.
>
> Don't worry if you can't get the footwork perfect. It took us a while
> to get it even half right, and it's really good exercise anyway!

See you on Zoom on Saturday!
