[LBC-news] London Barndance Virtual Contra Saturday 9th May

Saturday 9th May 8pm to 9pm - our first Virtual Barndance

As we cannot have a dance at C# House this month we are running
a Virtual Barndance using Zoom. There will be music by Bearded Dragons,
some time to catch up with friends and fellow dancers, and there will
even be some dancing!

To make this work, we need you to do three things:

1)	Install Zoom if you don't already have it.
	This free video-conference software runs on phones, tablets,
	laptops and desktop computers (if they have sound cards).
	Get it from the App Store or Google Play, or download from here:
	https://zoom.us/download

2)	Send us a picture of something that you are doing during lockdown.
	We will show these during the event and there will be an
	opportunity to talk about some of them.

3)	Dance!

	We have not worked out how to do 'lockdown contra' yet, but
	waltz works even for one person. Send us a short video.
	Here's how to do it:

	Play this Bearded Dragons track on a tablet or computer:

	Put a smartphone or camera near the loudspeaker and set
	it to film you dancing for a minute or two. Make sure that some
	of the music comes through on the video.

	Upload the video to this Google Album (you need a Google account):

	If you cannot use that, then send us the file by some other method
	(email probably won't work as videos are too big!)

	We will make a composite video with short clips from everyone
	and we will show it on Saturday.

We will send out details of the Zoom meeting later this week.
