Dear Colleague,
You are being sent this reminder message because either you gave your
email address at one of our previous lectures or you signed up on the
web site associated with this email list:
http://lists.ourshack.com/mailman/listinfo/iee-ec3-news
I have appended the details of our next lecture and hope to see you
there.
You can download a poster from the following IET web page to display
in your place of work:
https://communities.theiet.org/files/15826
Please note that this lecture is NOT at the usual venue (see below).
For those not familiar with terms used in the overview, MIMO (Multiple
Input, Multiple Output) is a technique for increasing the capacity of
a radio channel; Massive MIMO combines the technique with beamforming
to make further increases.
Best wishes,
Bill Pechey

the 'Marzetta' based architecture differs to SDMA baseband
beamforming. A brief description of the National Instruments (NI)
based Bristol Massive MIMO system with be given alongside an overview
of field trials and results obtained to date. The talk will conclude
by proposing a list of open research questions in the field.
