Some mathematics in Mobile telecommunication: a personal perspective

Professor Michael Walker, King's College London, President of the
Institute of Mathematics and its Applications

Mike Walker will talk about some mathematics that underpins major
commercial drivers in the transition from one mobile
telecommunications system to the next. In this context he will look at
cryptography, games theory and auctions, Hamiltonians and multiple
channel radio communications

This event is free of charge and open to all, with refreshments at 19.00.
