Designing world class engines for Formula One and road cars

Professor Geoff Goddard, Oxford Brookes University

Thursday 28 January 2010 - 19.00 for 19.30

Professor Goddard will cover some of the major milestones of his
engineering career with examples of his F1 championship-winning racing
engines and flagship road car programmes for the world’s leading
manufacturers - including Aston Martin, Mercedes, Ford, Opel, Volvo,
and Saab - created during his tenure as Chief Designer of Cosworth and
later as Director and Chief Designer at TWR Engines.
 
Geoff Goddard joined Oxford Brookes to underpin the development of
advanced engineering courses at MEng and MSc levels. He has
accelerated research programmes exploring future fuels and the
detailed study of emissions including particulate emissions and their
formation processes during combustion .

This event is free of charge and open to all, with refreshments at 19.00.
