Knowledge Management

James Levey, Orange Business Services

Time: 19.00 for 19.30

Light refreshments available from 19:00-19:30

Cantley House Hotel
Milton Road
Wokingham
RG40 5QG

In a difficult financial market Knowledge Management offers practical
ways of driving down costs and enhancing efficiency. These are
achieved by using practices, guidelines and a suite of tools to get
the most of the business knowledge from the workforce.

Orange Business Services has had a KM program since 2004 and is
continually striving forward with new tools and projects. In this talk
I will explain the drivers which led to the launching of KM within
Orange Business Services, the development strategy from then to now,
and how the business has changed and how KM has had to keep ahead of
the curve.

I will describe, demonstrate and explain the tools we use, how we
chose them and how we have put them into practice. How the business
has shaped our roadmap and the future for KM in a world of Web 2.0.

Directions: From Rectory Road (on one-way system – with Waitrose),
turn left at lights into Glebelands Road, follow the road bearing
right into Milton Road, go straight over the mini roundabout: the
Hotel entrance is 200 yards later on the right. See also
