Abstract

The talk will discuss learning from binomial data. Topics will include: 
*	Confidence intervals for the binomial parameter and Poisson mean; 
*	Calculating the probability that one binomial parameter is less that
another using Altham's formula;
*	The multinomial density and its relation to the Dirichlet density.

All N. Hants, Surrey and Berkshire Branch talks are open and free of charge
to anyone who is interested.
