Professor Anthony Finkelstein
Software Systems Engineering, University College London

Thursday 24th January 2002 at 19:30
Edward Court Hotel, Wellington Road, Wokingham

Light refreshments available from 19:00-19:30

Synopsis
XML (Extensible Markup Language) and the family of technologies related to it are reshaping the web and the way applications are integrated
with the web. It brings structure and meaning to the hitherto unstructured world of web resources. Everything from e-commerce through
programming languages to search engines are affected by this change. This talk will provide an introduction to XML and its related
technologies, particularly XSL and XLink - the XML Style and Linking Languages, and will analyse its implications. If the web is affecting your
business then you need to know about XML. Don't be caught by surprise!

If you want to know more, come along. Everyone is welcome and no ticket is required. Simply turn up on the night.
