[HTS-members] Marshwood Farm Planning Application 13/02108/FUL

A Planning Application earlier last year, on behalf of the owner of Marshwood Farm in Marsh Lane, to build two sheds and ancillary buildings for egg production, was refused by South Bucks District Council after strong objections by the Parish Council, the Society on behalf of its members, and individual objections by Taplow residents.

A Planning Application with various amendments and assurances has now been re-submitted on behalf of the owner of Marshwood Farm.

The applicant admits that an unlawful commercial egg production and distribution business has been operating from Marshwood Farm for many years.

It has the powers to do so but the District |Council has failed to enforce the closure of that unlawful business. The applicant  says that the unlawful  business will be closed down if this  Planning Application is approved.

It is within the powers of the District Council Planning Officer responsible for a Planning Application to decide either to approve or refuse it but if 10 or more objections are received then that Planning Application must be referred to the District Council Planning Committee for it to decide. The District Councillor for Taplow, George Sandy, is a member of the Planning Committee.

The Society will be submitting an objection on behalf of its members early next week but an objection from an organisation or group is counted as a single objection no matter how many people it claims to represent.   

Therefore the Society is asking each of its members to submit an objection to this Planning Application by Monday, 20 January. 

An objection may be a brief simple statement giving just one reason. The attachments offer various reasons to object. The first two attachments are detailed objections already submitted by two Society members. The third attachment is the objection submitted by the Society to the original Planning Application. The fourth attachment lists the reasons for my main reasons for my personal objection. 

By law, the applicant must be allowed to read all objections. It is important that each objection is written using different words and phrases from other objections. The District Council will reject an objection if it is perceived to be a standard letter or one with so many similar phrases that it is judged to be part of an orchestrated campaign.
