[HTS-members] A Reminder

The Hitcham and Taplow Society AGM will be held at the Taplow Village Centre
at 8pm this coming Friday, 2 December 2011. The brief business part of the
meeting will be followed at 8.45 by a talk given by Robert Traharne-Jones
about the preparations for the 2012 Olympic Games rowing events at the Eton
College Rowing Centre in Dorney.

 

Robert has been writing, commentating and broadcasting on international
rowing events for more than 30 years. In 2008 he was the official rowing
commentator in Beijing for the Olympics and the Paralympics. For 15 years he
was a member of the BBC Radio commentary team for the Boat Race. He was
elected to the Leander Club in 1984, for services to rowing. He is now the
Club's press and publicity officer.
