Happy New Year, all.
Late response. Still shaking off the 'challenging' 2006..

And why should it be so?
For sophisticated technical functions, one would stick with 'some other
O/S', and 'some other mailing list' / base. This list and its interests
reflect simpler aims.
That is, what are the tasks and tools to ensure that individuals retain
autonomous control of their own internet telecommunications platforms,
in perpetuity? Transparently?
We have the GPL, an international community, and a local group dedicated
to the advancement of both. We are happy with any progress, at any pace,
toward the lasting freedom. Competing glitz is too often distraction,
and meanwhile we get by with 'what works' for us.
