Hi, Jim--

Concrete tasks we need folks at your end to do, in order of importance:
 1. Confirm that Saturday, 3 October, is a good date to hold the event - Since my wife wants to combine this with a family holiday trip, I need to confirm the date and book the travel ASAP.
 2. Identify a venue - once we know how many rooms we have available, and their capacities, we can recruit up to that N-1 additional trainers (I'll do my TM class in one room).
 3. Put me in touch with the person who books the venue - if a payment and/or signed contract is required, I'll need to send that to the OWASP Foundation for processing, which can take a few weeks.
 4. Identify a source for tea break and lunch catering, and put me in touch with them - If the venue can do catering, that would work; otherwise, anything we can get brought in, from Subway trays on up, would be great.
 5. Get a commitment from one or two volunteers, to help out on the day of the event - checking people in and directing them to their rooms, helping with break and lunch setup and cleanup.
Basically, once we have the arrangements sorted, running the event isn't a lot of work, because the attendees spend most of their time in the classrooms.

Kirk - Are you interested in traveling down to help out? We should be able to cover your travel expenses from chapter funds, if you can make it. If you have a favourite one-day class to present, we could probably work that in, too.
