yes, it's what triggers the device scripts being run, different distros have 
moved the location around, I think at the moment the install scripts try and 
put it 2 different places (depending on which one you use) if there's a 3rd I 
can try and add that too

(remember that the udev stuff has been pushed into systemd for a lot of people 
and there seems to be a bunch of issues as people figure that change out - like 
the Ubuntu problem with starting udev with root not mounted writeable in some 
releases)
