You'll recall the US is not at war just with China but with every country including the Penguin Republics. The multiplicity of routes that components and assemblies take in many/most supply chains means the impact on pricing and availability of any imported item from our perch in the hen house is unclear at best.
Might be a case of wait and see although the chattering classes in media circles suggest running in circles while throwing your hands in the air and shouting "The sky is falling, the sky is falling!" may become more popular. Won't impact prices or availability however.
Is there PIC, Raspi, ATtiny code to automate that? We are the Robotics Club after all. Our efforts are not intended to show any greater intelligence than that evidenced by a wall-banging micro-mouse or a media spokesperson, are they?

There is a chance that prices from the likes of Digikey, Mouser et. al.
will go sky-high in the near future because of the .us .cn trade-war.
Apart from Aliexpress, has anyone bought components from any Chinese
component vendors ?
LCSC seems popular. I have used their parts via JLCPCB, but never
purchased directly.
Chinese PCB pricing will hopefully hold firm, since none of the
transactions need to be associated with the US.
Same applies to Aliexpress.
Its going to be interesting to see how the big electronic guys (Sony,
Samsung, LG etc) manage the situation. They are non-US based, have their
product manufactured in China, and import to the US...
Thoughts please.
