[chbot] Sourcing ICs from China via ebay?

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to get my hands on a couple of Texas Instruments 134.2KHz RFID
reader chips (TMS3705) but all the usual sources I use (Radiospares,
Mouser, Digikey) have 35 week wait times.
Ebay has some of these for sale, which are almost always sourced from
China. Should I trust ICs sold from China via ebay given the current global
shortage?
