This bring back memories!!

The thing to watch out for with tapes and floppy disks is bacteria growth
(That is what I all it) on the heads and on the parts of tape exposed to he
air. I've damaged a number of floppies before I realized what was happening.
It is quite hard growth but meths on a clean cloth does the trick. My guess it
is similar to the fungi that grows inside on old camera zoom lenses
