[chbot] Unlocking a microSDHC or SDXC card

The most recent failure is an ADATA 64GB SDXC card, which is Read-Only. I
have tried several SD to microSD card adaptors and a USB microSD card
reader, and attempts to delete the files on this card look like they
succeed, but the files are still accessible afterwards. (It does lock up
the Windows 10 "Eject Disk" process though.) This card has been in use in
the Samsung phone for over a year, and the phone is still happily working
with a new card.
Other cards were 32GB and are a Lexar and another ADATA, both of which are
older still and bricked, i.e. the files or folders are not accessible at
all. Use of the USB reader to read the 32GB ATADA card results in a message
to "Please insert a disk into USB drive E:", followed by a message saying
the disk needs to be formatted (which doesn't complete) while use of a card
size adaptor does not result in any recognition of the card, i.e. no drive
letter is offered.nor is there any "new device" chime. The Lexar card gives
a similar result except that Windows 10 was unable to even determine its
size.
Now that I have a USB microSD card reader, I might give a Raspberry Pi a
go, and see what happens.
Cheers
Trevor
