Thanks Darran! I find, generally, that anyone can make any piece of
enticingly priced hardware, and that therefore the usefulness of the kit
entirely depends on the software available. Or in other words, hardware
info without software info is essentially meaningless for getting a
picture of what $GIMMICK can do.
The reason I asked in this case was because the aliexpress seller says:
Supported Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows XP,Microsoft Windows 7
Supported Mobile Systems: iPhone OS,Android
Thus giving the impressions it's an SBC ARM or x86 system needing a
desktop/mobiledevice OS to run. Whether someone rolled their own
closed-source proprietory no-specs no-info firmware or stole a Linux
system and hides it behind an unknown Chinese street address seems to be
the question.
The rough specs and price make it an interesting system, if the SW issue
can be solved. Keep us informed :-)
