PS I actually had a long discussion with the CTO of a tech-firm in San 
Francisco who had also mandated C++ for the same reason as the CEO in 
this article. He was seen sweeping floors some months later for his 
'spirited contribution'

PPS glad to see that C is not losing it's grip on C++ for small embedded
