[chbot] Server slow wake up

Hi All,

At the last Robotics Meeting, Chris kindly dropped off a pile of servers 
for BR05 radio club.

Among the equipment is an HP DL385G2, with dual PSUs, 2 x AMD 2216 CPUs, 
24GB RAM, and a pair of 72GB(?) SAS drives.

The unit has an odd problem in that mains is applied to the unit, the 
power on button is pressed, and something like 20 mins later the unit 
starts booting with fans running full belt (change of underwear required 
for the unsuspecting).

Sounds something like a motherboard battery that is nominally dead, but 
is slowly charging until some threshold is reached when the machine is 
happy to boot (by itself ?!).

Anyone have any similar experiences (before stripping this monster down) ?
