[chbot] LED displays coloured filters

It has become obvious with my display experiments that the appearance
and conttrast of LED displays is significantly improved by the use of
colouored filters. That's why commercial clocks etc always have a dark
tinted front panel - it transmits the display colour but blocks the
background, significantly increasing contrast and readability.

Has anyone come across coloured tinted translucent plastic foils? I have
a feeling I've seen them a long time ago.

I'll need them in blue, pure green (not yellow-green), dark yellow, and
red, and would appreciate a note if someone happens to have seen
something like this, before I trawl all the shops...
