I've found you really get what you pay for in the quality of smartphones,
and would suggest you spend the extra dollar to get something you won't be
dreading a week later. I've been happy with the Nexus line as this is the
leading edge that Google prescribes, FYI I got a Samsung Galaxy Nexus
straight from the factory (from expansys.co.nz). The thing I like is it has
no network provider branding / customisations etc, I get the upgrades as
they are released (on 4.3 now), and the interface is the raw design -
no manufacturers extras dangling off it.

PS. I'm thinking of selling my bluetooth+motor controller+servo board
(ideal for UAVs) to anyone interested, so a phone with barometer is ideal.
