Replying to myself, because that way I can pretend to have
friends.. :-)
I just uploaded a small (40x33mm) board to pcbzone about 10 mins ago.
Total cost $69.45 inc. GST for five single-sided silk screened & masked
boards, which I should see sometime next week.
I'll report back to the list on how the experience goes, and post some
high-res images so those who are interested can see the quality etc.
So far: Customer service for my initial inquiry re: kicad was quick and
helpful. Pricing is good for prototype volume IMHO, and the site pretty
simple to work with.
